Soccer FIT Game Speed Program: (Spring, Summer and Fall)

The main goal of our Game Speed Program (offered in the spring, summer and fall) is to use our Game Speed Test to identify strengths and weaknesses in each players game (speed, skill, fitness, etc.), and then structure the training around using their strengths to help develop their weaknesses and bring their game speed up to a higher level.

  1. The first step is to test each players speed, fitness and skill and rank their performance (Comfort, Developing, Emerging or Peaking). Each player will be able to enter their scores in on-line to receive a Game Speed Profile and Graph of their performance (shown here).
  2. The next step is to focus on improving each players Game Speed by blending the physical attributes that we will train indoors (strength, power and plyometric quickness) with the technical / situational aspects that we train outdoors (speed, agility, passing, dribbling, etc.) in a progression that builds from foundational footwork and skill to integrated 1v1, 2v2 and 2v1 fitness games.
  3. Finally, we will assess our progress and set new goals periodically throughout the season. Each player should have a clear picture of their performance along with testing results to monitor improvement on a monthly basis.
